Tim Butterworth heads up the Hospitality Automation Consultants Ltd. European operations. Tim brings to HACL 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Butterworth's background gives him experience & skills as both an operator and an organisational leader. He is an expert in the hotel business and the use of IT for effective business management and operations.

Working for Radisson Edwardian Hotels for 15 years, a privately owned chain of luxury Hotels, mainly in London, his experience ranges from operations to strategic senior management positions in nearly all aspects of the hotel business.

Being involved in many projects using advanced technologies gives Butterworth unique experience with tomorrow's technology today.

• Leading a £2m Voice project for replacing existing telephone equipment with Networked Alcatel 4400 Hotel Systems. Reviewed alternative systems (Nortel, Mitel, Avaya) Designed numbering for 10,000 extensions carried out to full implementation and continued support
• Implemented & designed 25 seat Contact Centre
• Multi location Citrix Winframe thin client project
• Citrix Metaframe ASP implementation, IE5 Portal Implementation 250 users
• Hotel PMS (Fidelio) Upgrades project
• Micros POS Terminal Upgrade Project
• Centralised Restaurant Booking Implementation Project (Thin Client)
• Project Lead on Fidelio Sales & Catering Implementation
• Designed user configuration for Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint over Thin Client)
• Implemented new LAN & WAN project, 10 locations
• Security Project for internal systems

To gain more experience in the IT & telecommunication sector Butterworth moved to NextiraOne UK (formerly Alcatel eBusiness Solutions) to head up the Hotel Vertical Sector Team. During his two years with NextiraOne, Butterworth successfully put NextiraOne on the map in the UK Hotel Sector through a combination of Marketing initiatives, PR, Article writing and successful networking developing direct sales.

The combination of the additional skills working for a supplier in the Hotel industry gives Butterworth a unique view for Hotel companies looking for in-depth knowledge of the IT & Telecommunications available in their marketplace, or the company looking to significantly open doors in the Hotel Sector.
